The biggest threat to the sport of Powered paragliding
is not the self trained pilot (he generally never gets of
the ground or scares himself to death if he does anyway)
it is the I fly, so now I am an instructor syndrome. This is
occurring all over this country every weekend! This problem
has never been greater then now due to a few extremely
dangerous so called PPG instructors, that are hurting
innocent people every weekend just because they call
themselves a PPG INSTRUCTOR! No credentials, no
formal training in aviation, no teacher or instructor training,
no CPR training, the only thing these people have is sometimes
a web site that says they can train you!
Beware, Beware we are receiving reports of these so -called
instructors causing injuries all over this country! If someone
tells you they will train you for free, run like hell because there
are no free lunches in this country! Many of these poor wannabee
pilots would have been better to train themselves then to put their
lives in the hands of these clowns!
It takes many years to build up a strong instructional
safe program in PPG’s, that is worth 10 times the charge
most good instructors are charging for PPG training now.
If you are in another part of this country and cannot come
to paratoys for safe instruction then please call us for a
referral to an instructor who will not hurt you.
